Healthline

Here’s a really nice health website I wanted to share, Healthline:  http://www.healthline.com/

There’s a couple of reasons I like this site. One is the nifty search features. Take treatments as an example. You can search for treatments by entering the condition or disease. If you don’t know the disease and only have a symptom or two to go on, Healthline has a symptom search as well. Be careful though, the symptom search remembers your last entered symptom and adds it to your search criteria. Before you know it, you might be searching for a condition that has shin splints and earaches as symptoms. And then, they also offer a drug search if you’re looking for information on particular medications.

Another feature I like is the search suggestions. Each search field offers search suggestions as you type. This doesn’t work from the home page though. You must be on one of their topic pages like “Symptoms”. I find search suggestions to be extremely helpful when trying to phonetically type medical terms and drug names.

The last and most important reason why I like this site is the clean, clutter-free design. It’s laid out in an easy to use and understand format. It’s easy for websites to adopt the Yahoo or MSN page of links “look” so I appreciate the usability restraint Healthline has taken.

I didn’t find this on my own. I heard about it from ReadWriteWeb.

Auto Repair – Jacksonville, NC

Sometimes you receive great service and you want to let everyone know. So this is that time. I have to recommend these guys – Wilson’s Auto Repair. They are the best auto repair shop in all of Jacksonville.  Their prices are good and they do great work.

These are honest genuine local folks providing a no frills service. I’ve had them replace my brakes, fix a hesitation problem, do an annual inspection, and change the oil.  I know of others who’ve had Wilson’s replace a radiator, charge the AC, and fix an electrical system problem.  It was them that recommended Wilson’s to me.

The owner is a retired Marine. Someone told me he had either worked in the Motor T field as a Marine or later as a government civilian worker.  Whichever it is, he and his crew do great work.

Wilson’s is located at 4890 Gum Branch Road. As you head towards Richlands on Gum Branch, Wilson’s is located on the right just past the Potter’s House church and Half Moon VFD. You must take the right onto Bryan road in order to get to Wilson’s garage.

Give them a call at 910-346-8446. You won’t be disappointed.
